A clinical study database was established to support a diagnostic study comparing novel index tests with established reference tests for HIV diagnostics. Developed in REDCap, the project database was managed end-to-end by the DataSculpts team. Key activities included creating the Data Management Plan (DMP), designing and building the REDCap database, implementing robust edit checks, conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and preparing the system for production release. Through an efficient and streamlined approach, the DataSculpts team delivered the database in record time while fully meeting the quality and functionality standards required to support the study.
The database was successfully delivered and released to production in an exceptionally short timeframe, exceeding initial expectations for study setup. This streamlined approach, combined with close attention to quality, enabled the study team to move rapidly from design to production readiness. The project highlighted DataSculpts’ ability to deliver high-quality clinical study databases efficiently - pairing technical expertise, proven processes, and a strong focus on timelines to accelerate study start-up.
